The Tacoma Trauma are a women’s full contact football team located in Tacoma, Washington. The Trauma plays by male Division One NCAA rules.
Chances are you didn’t know women’s full contact football has existed in Washington. Since 2002 until 2006 the only team in Washington was located in Tacoma.
When that team, formerly known as, the Tacoma Majestics moved to Seattle the City of Tacoma and the South Sound were left without a team until 2012 when the Trauma was started by Jennifer Hogate and Brandi Ockenfels.
Since that time, ownership has grown to 5, staff has been added and the Trauma has become a football powerhouse. For more about the history of our team check out our About page.
The Trauma has one of the most powerful teams in it's division. For the first time in its history, the Trauma made it to the Massey Rated Playoffs.
In the last three years, the Trauma has become a powerhouse.
With the strong support of photographers such as James Miller Photography, as well as a host of videographers and editors, the Tacoma Trauma has collected much media of it's exciting games.

The Women's Football Alliance is a full-contact Women's American football league that began play in 2009. It is one of three full-contact, 11-on-11 football leagues for women, along with the Independent Women's Football League and the Women's Spring Football League, and the largest of the three.
The WFA was founded by couple, Jeff and Lisa King of Exeter, California. In its inagrual season, the league opened with 36 teams, and as of 2015, the league has grown to 42 teams.
The league consists of an American and National Conference and holds its Playoffs mid-June and it's National Championship in August. In 2015, the National Champtionship will be held on August 8th at Southwest College Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

No football experience is necessary. We are looking for athletes of all kinds, and when we say no experience necessary we mean it.
